Sunday, November 21 from 10 am - 12 pm

Donation-based workshop
Led by Jan Eichstaedt, 500RYT

This two-hour workshop is designed to provide you with Yogic tools to enhance your mental and emotional resilience. There are so many reasons to feel anxious and down nowadays. The emphasis is on experiential Yoga practice and how to build a daily practice. You will get knowledge and practice to level out imbalances, in general. In particular, you learn how to tailor Yoga sequences to the needs of your body and your energy.

This two-hour workshop will be a blend of practice and discussion.

Jan Eichstaedt

Jan’s heartfelt mission is to foster self-healing, self-empowerment and self-realization. His Yoga teaching provides space for practitioners of all walks of life and all experience levels. He is available for teaching Yoga in both private and group classes.

As a psychologist by training, his emphasis is on mental and emotional resilience and mitigating suffering in these domains such as anxiety and depression. Yoga provides the tools to self-empower you to self-heal – best in concert with help from licensed specialists. Jan guides you to do this by means of your own superpower: loving-kindness of your Self.

Jan received his 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500) accreditation with Yoga Alliance. He is certified in Yoga Nidra, Adaptive, Restorative, Trauma-Informed, and Yin Yoga. Jan grew up in Germany where he went to school and collected his first experiences helping his fellow students as an elected representative of the students and as elected head of the local youth center. He realized that multiple roles became stressors which he tried to tame with Autogenic Training, a German variant of meditation. He studied psychology, did his degrees (Dipl.-Psych., Dr. phil., Priv.-Doz.), and worked as a stand-in assistant professor at multiple German Universities.

Jan came to the U.S. with his daughter and his wife who got a job in Reston, Virginia. They introduced him to Beloved Yoga where he did his 200hr Yoga teacher training. He did the 500hr Yoga teacher training in Austin, TX.

Jan is a cyclist and has a weakness for philosophy. He lives with his wife, who is a Yoga teacher herself.
