This chair yoga class is a neurodiverse approach activity where participants and caregivers will join us for an hour of gentle and creative movement incorporating dance elements, music and rhythms to support the physical, emotional, and cognitive layers of the body.
Please note: This class is open to anyone with neurological imbalances.
Some of the greatest benefits of this creative activity:
~ Builds self-awareness, self-esteem, and social engagement
~ Provides physical benefits like connecting body movements to one's self-expression, while increasing strength, balance and coordination
~ Provides a sense of connection with the internal body's rhythm
~ Increases the brain's capacity to absorb new ways of learning in a joyful manner
We will pay attention to our breath as an important component of our existence. This awareness of breath will help to regulate the mental, energetic and physical layers of the body.
