Alessandra Garcia

Alessandra has been immersed into Yoga practice since 2011. She is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, obtained her Yoga & Ayurveda certificate from Beloved Yoga Sanctuary in 2020, and is currently working on completing the 300-hour Svastha Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda Training at Beloved Yoga as well. She also holds an Usui Reiki II certificate. Alessandra graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Global Affairs and Spanish.

The creative arts have been an integral part of her life since a young age. Most recently, she has performed Bachata shows with the Ferocity Dance company and has been a member of the Latin American Teatro de la Luna in Washington D.C. where she currently performs. Alessandra follows an ayurvedic lifestyle and believes in the long-term benefits of the practice. She enjoys infusing her yoga classes with ayurvedic tools to help support the transformation of mind, body, and spirit. Her classes are characterized to be "slower" in nature in order to emphasize the awareness of each breath, movement, and moment and are open to all practitioners from all walks of life.

Alessandra’s connection with nature is an important part of her journey that she uses to fuel her inner soul and bring perspective to her yoga practice. She likes to spend quality time outdoors hiking, bike riding, SUP paddle boarding, roller blading, and taking long walks on the beach with her two dogs and her loving partner.
