I went to medical school in India and finished my post-graduate work in Washington DC. During much of my rigorous education and training years, I frequently struggled with physical imbalances due to poor posture and technique.
After doing my yoga teacher’s training, I gained new insights into the power of and how to achieve overall balance by focusing on the body AND the mind. I also realized that each one of us is fully capable of healing from within, only if we become more aware and make the time to invest in self-care.
Today, daily I make time to get on my yoga mat. This serves me well by helping me keep a balanced mind and staying centered and grounded through challenging times. Thus, I also love to share this knowledge and the practice of yoga so that others also will benefit as I have.
