Susan Kilday

Susan Kilday holds a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health and is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT500), and team member at Inova Life with Cancer in Virginia.

Piloting the first Clinical Yoga Therapy program at Inova Schar Cancer Institute, Susan has had the honor of sharing Yoga with over 800 patients since the program’s inception. From inpatient bedside and outpatient infusion services to virtual and in-person classroom offerings and private sessions, Susan utilizes evidence-based tools and practices in service of supporting the safe exploration of one’s sense of agency and well-being through the full continuum of the cancer journey.

As a result of her work, and the generosity of a gracious donor, an endowment has been created at Inova’s Foundation, and the Susan Kilday Yoga Therapy Movement & Wellness Fund has solidified that Yoga Therapy will continue as a valued part of the integrative team at Inova. The manifestation of Susan’s vision and effort has brought to light the value of Yoga in medicine as an important generative step toward whole-person, patient-centered care.
