Each class integrates the 7 movements of the spine to increase synovial fluid thereby lubricating the joints. This thoughtful, slow practice incorporates standing postures, balancing postures, seated, supine, and deep relaxation to bring the nervous system to homeostasis. Whether you are healing from an injury or looking for a slow and safe practice, options will be offered to customize and personalize the practice to support your health and well-being. No experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.

Stephanie Baird

At the start, Yoga was a purely physical practice for Stephanie. It wasn't until she found Beloved Yoga in 2009 that she began to know the full depth of the practice. She completed her 200HR teacher training at Beloved in 2016. She mentored with Alyson MacLatchy and discovered the joy of sharing her Yoga practice with fellow practitioners. Maryam Ovissi continues to be a major influence on her teaching style and an inspiration in general.

Stephanie teaches a strenuous flow style of Yoga where the focus is on aligning breath with slow movements, holding asanas and moving with awareness. She truly believes that there is a Yoga class that will suit every person and that Yoga can help each practitioner find the tools they need to live in harmony with their body, their mind and their emotions. She often counsels practitioners to try multiple styles of Yoga until they find the one that resonates deeply in them.

Yoga is not a practice for the flexible, it is a practice to gain flexibility in the body and resiliency in the mind.

Stephanie also loves exploring the world with her family through travel, food, hiking, books and film.

Jill Stock

Jill Stock first began to practice yoga as part of a regular fitness routine. As a schoolteacher, she was always looking for ways to manage stress and energy levels. She began to realize that yoga offers not only physical benefits, but can also enhance one’s health mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in Columbus, Ohio, where she taught both Hatha and Yin style classes. Joelle Van Over

Joelle is an E-RYT 500 hour and YACEP from Yoga Alliance, and holds an C-IAYT certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and received her 800 hour  therapeutic yoga practitioner training at Beloved Yoga. She is excited by structural and functional anatomy and the Krishnamacharya, Desikachar,  Mohan linage, is inspired by Peter Marchand, and has many hours of advanced training in these traditions. Joelle loves her private teaching where she collaboratively creates individual practices designed to meet the needs and goals of each student. She also loves the energy of her classes and sharing a joyful practice integrating alignment, movement and breath to find strength, flexibility and greater balance within each practice. Joelle believes that everyone comes to the mat with everything they need to experience yoga fully and to progress on their own journey, experiencing ease, stability and joy along the way. Sharing this path, and simply being present to the beauty in each day motivates her teaching. Reading ancient yoga texts and philosophy is an anchor for Joelle, as she finds joy in deepening her own practice so that she may share more fully on and off the mat. Joelle is grateful to the many teachers who guide her and looks forward to sharing with many more. Joelle has practiced yoga and meditation for over 30 years and is always awed by its teachings and how every practice is new and lifts us in our daily lives. Joelle loves to connect with her son and daughter, loves the companionship of her loving dog, Luna, and nature always absorbs her in awe and wonder.  She is grateful for her mountaineering, rock climbing and kayaking experiences.
