$60.00 The Art of Energetic Anatomy
Join Susan for a journey through the 7 primary chakras, the subtle energy centers located throughout the body. This workshop is designed to introduce and deepen your self-exploration and awareness of the energetic body.
The chakra framework invites a variety of ways to explore, expand, and bring harmony to our well-being. Through inquiry, creative sequencing, breathing techniques and meditation, we will explore the basics of each chakra from an Ayurvedic perspective and a personal, felt-sense experience. When awakened and flowing, the chakras allow us to access the limitless reservoir of universal prana (life energy) and move us toward our higher self. You will leave feeling enlivened and renewed.
Come dwell in possibility by creating a balanced flow of energy within the whole self.
This workshop is part of Beloved Yoga’s 200-hour Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training. You will experience a blend of lecture and yoga practices that utilize the tools of asana, pranayama, and meditation to explore these subtle energy centers. All are welcome.
Susan Muir
Susan Muir, MA, e-RYT 500, C-IAYT, is a yoga practitioner and yoga therapist specializing in breath awareness, meditation and sound healing. Through the practice of yoga and creative sequencing, Susan empowers her students to connect to the present moment so that their lives are infused with a sense of ease and peace. She encourages students to discover the deeper layers of the self in order to initiate change, growth and healing. Susan’s classes are centered around breath awareness as well as feeling the joy of movement, the opening of the body, the calming of the mind and one’s innate goodness to shine forth. Her intention as a teacher is to reflect each individual’s wholeness.
Along with teaching classes, Susan leads workshops, semi-private and private yoga sessions as well as facilitates sound baths. Susan completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Bhekaji Lynch in 2006 and her 300 hour advanced training with Maryam Ovissi at Beloved Yoga in 2012. Susan is deeply grateful to all her teachers along the way: Bhekaji Lynch, Maryam Ovissi, Pierre Couvillion, A.G. Mohan and Elena Brower. Susan has been most inspired by her mentor Elena Brower who gracefully challenges her to continually explore and refine her inner life, or “home frequency.” This infinite exploration involves the capacity to be vulnerable, compassionate and ultimately resilient.
