Overview
This immersive weekend offers continuing education in Restorative Yoga as a therapeutic practice for nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and conscious rest. Facilitated by Sherry Steine, the training blends classical yoga philosophy, Svastha Yoga Therapy principles, and Ayurvedic models to support deep rest, resilience, and nervous system repair while meeting Yoga Alliance YACEP requirements.
Friday | Foundations of Rest & Safety 6-8 pm
Friday evening introduces core concepts, including rest as nervous system repair, the interplay of pra?a and the gunas, and how to create safe, supportive environments for restorative practice. Participants experience a gentle, grounding restorative session and begin exploring assessment and sequencing.
Saturday | Regulation & Restorative Sequencing 10 am - 5 pm (includes 1 hour for lunch)
Saturday focuses on self-regulation and sequencing. Topics include nervous system state recognition, trauma-sensitive language and pacing, warm and rhythmic sequencing, and adaptive use of props. Breath practices that support autonomy and regulation are integrated.
Sunday | Sattva, Emotional Balance & Integration 10 am - 5 pm (includes 1 hour for lunch)
Sunday explores how to cultivate steadiness (sattva), emotional balance, and clarity through classical teachings and restorative practice frameworks. Participants finish with a long-form restorative practice emphasizing nourishment, agency, and long-term well-being.
This weekend-long training is part of Beloved Yoga's 300 hr teacher training, but is open to all. It is non-refundable, but it is transferable.
