300 HR Svastha Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda Teacher Training 2023

1/7/2023 - 12/16/2023

Svastha Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda 300-hr Teacher Training 2023

This Training will be offered in a hybrid format, which means you can choose to do the program completely virtual or consider some days to come into the studio if you are local. The times we will meet will all be in Eastern Standard/Daylight Savings Time (USA). The first two weekends will be an extraordinary opportunity to study directly with Dr. Ganesh Mohan.

This 300-hour Svastha Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training builds upon the foundation of your 200-hour program. In this program, you will spend time clarifying your personal sadhana, refining your teaching tools and skills to understand the foundation of classical hatha yoga, anatomy and philosophy, therapeutic application, expanding your skills in teaching group classes, working in one-on-one settings, and learning to develop workshops and semi-private series courses.

Upon completion of all requirements, trainees will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-500 (if you have a 200 hr RYT) and if you choose, can enroll to continue to complete your second year with the Svastha Yoga Therapy Program (currently under accreditation process with IAYT).

Beloved Yoga’s 300-hour Svastha Yoga & Ayurveda program is designed to take you to the next step toward integrating Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda into your life and progress your professional path as a Yoga teacher, Therapeutic Yoga educator and/or Yoga Therapist.

We have created this program to guide you through the nuts and bolts of complex teaching, to refine your own inner wisdom, and to deepen an understanding of the seat of the teacher as well as learn application of the skills of yoga to group classes (in person and online, one-on-one privates and workshops).

Beloved Yoga and Svastha Yoga embraces intelligent and creative sequences that are breath-centric and informed by the science of yoga and traditional physio-psychology.  Our training will help you navigate how to hold space for a broad range of practices, imbalances, and students.

Your journey through the program is organized around a logical hub and spokes model. Each topic is like a spoke of a wheel and is anchored by the hub of mentoring and integration.

Beloved Yoga & Svastha Yoga Philosophy

Beloved Yoga is devoted to sharing the teachings of modern Yoga, as outlined through Sri Krishnamacharya’s teachings, through the lineage of Svastha Yoga.  The essence of these teachings recognizes that Yoga is a personal practice, not a one-size-fits-all method. With Beloved Yoga/Svastha Yoga’s focus on safety and accessibility (trauma-informed methodology), we feel there is an intelligent way to enter into ourselves and to utilize the tools of yoga to support the path towards peace.

The 300-hour program is built around these core concepts and learning objectives:

- Personal transformation through the domains of well-being

- Foundational Understanding of Samkhya and Yoga

- Prana & Pranayama: Foundation, History, Practices and Application

- Dharana Practices

- Art of Teaching Breath, Contemplation, Absorption, Meditation and Devotion

- Be grounded in what is Svastha and how to support individual approach to pursue sattvic groundedness

- Introduction to Yoga Therapy

- An overview and incorporation of Ayurvedic principles that support habits and therapeutic application

- Art of teaching privates and working with individuals

- Refining teaching methodologies for group teaching

- The attributes of the Gunas in the Ayurvedic framework

- The Domains of Wellbeing framework for working with your students as a whole person

- An overview of all the systems of the body with a focus on the major regulators of the nervous system

- The difference between complex and advanced asanas and how to keep the Yoga in the asana

- Exploring the “Exercise” and “physicality” of yoga asana: Benefits and Traps

- Intelligent sequencing format

- Clarity around language and cueing

- How to incorporate Yogic concepts and philosophy into asana classes

- How to confidently customize yoga practices to the individual in working with a range of imbalances

- Refinement of anatomy knowledge, understanding categories of imbalances and how to approach them with the yoga therapy lens

We are honored to guide you into a deeper understanding. We welcome all serious and curious practitioners and teachers from all lineages to embark on this year-long, in-depth journey of self-discovery and learning.

You will obtain a Trauma-Informed Yoga Certification with Heather Hagaman & Maryam Ovissi and a Compassionate Senior Chair/Mat Training Certification with Heather Hagaman. These certifications are a one-of-a-kind training blending the ancient wisdom of Yoga with the modern science. We will share evidence-based science that confirms the necessity of befriending our whole being to achieve peace. Learn Yogic tools to guide the journey into wholeness for all people!
